About (From Website): NYGÅRD is a privately-held fashion company founded in 1967 by Peter Nygård. Its brands – SLIMS, Peter Nygård, Bianca Nygård, Tan Jay, ALIA, Allison Daley and several private labels – offer contemporary style, quality, a consistent fit and value at all price points.
The company has continuously expanded over the last 40 years. Latest Update (Jul 2020): The Winnipeg-based Nygard retail chain of stores is liquidating, including its Alia and Tan Jay storefronts. It’s the end of an era for the fashion company with 169 stores and an expansive wholesale arm founded by designer Peter Nygard who’s empire has gone down amid allegations of sexual misconduct.
