Montreal-based Lightspeed, the powerful cloud point-of-sale system for independent retailers and restaurants, has announced that it will be hosting its first North American free one-day conference on June 11, 2019. The event is called Lightspeed Connect and it will be held at the stunning historic Gare Viger, which is also home to Lightspeed’s global headquarters.
Created to help independent retailers and restaurants grow their business, Lightspeed Connect offers interactive sessions with industry experts, new technology demos, networking opportunities, and more while highlighting the latest industry trends.
“With Lightspeed’s 14-years of experience advancing the retail and hospitality industries, we recognized an opportunity to share our insights with business owners and provide tactics and tools to help them achieve maximum success,” said Dax Dasilva, Founder and CEO of Lightspeed. “By bringing Lightspeed Connect to North America, we hope to inspire businesses and prepare them for what’s ahead—from navigating technological developments to catering to customer demands for personalized experiences,” he said.
The informative conference will include the following topics and sessions:
Trends shaping the future of independent business: Lightspeed President JP Chauvet will explore the changes happening within the retail and restaurant industries. You’ll discover how your business can stay ahead of the competition and thrive in these evolving markets.
Growing your independent business: A panel discussion with some of Montreal's hottest brands will be educational. Retailer Off The Hook and restaurant Grumman 78 will share valuable stories and insights from the journey of growing their businesses. Media personality Isabelle Racicot will moderate the panel — we recently profiled Ms. Racicot’s innovative new B2B influencer platform Etail21.
Increase the power of your brand: You’ll get practical information on how you can develop your brand to reflect the right message for your target audience. Brand strategy agency Folk Strategies will provide actionable tips and best-practice know-how.
Lightspeed Connect takes place Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Espace Gare Viger, 755 rue Berri in Montréal. Between 9:00am and 5:00pm will be a full-day of interactive programming (in French). From 5:00pm-7:00pm, there will be a tour of Lightspeed’s headquarters located in the Gare Viger, which is a historic former railway station and luxury hotel. The tour will be followed by a networking cocktail reception. Free parking will be provided, and the site is easily accessible by public transportation.
The Montreal Lightspeed Connect event is the first in North America — the conference has been held in Europe for the past four years with considerable success and attendance.
